About the unit
The activities unit and student club on campus are the basic building blocks in building, developing and developing students' skills in all areas of life, such as social, health, psychological, cultural, intellectual, and others, which helps to raise the scientific and cultural level of students and contributes to graduating a generation that loves its homeland and is useful to itself and its community, and a generation that possesses communication skills and success in most areas of its life.
To provide the student with behavioral and social skills that he cannot acquire through the walls of the classroom, the importance of systematic and extracurricular student activities has come through student activity clubs, as student activity is also considered a fruitful place for building and shaping the student's personality in various areas of life, which the classroom cannot. It alone produces and enhances it.
Based on the vision and mission of the Activities Unit and Student Club at Northern Border University, the vision of the Activities Unit and Student Club at the Applied College in Arar was formulated as follows:
Objectives:
1- Activating and employing the role of the curriculum through student activity to consolidate the concepts and facts of the curriculum. (Activating the student's cognitive side)
2- Introducing students to the nature and importance of student activities and activating activities in various sports, scientific, cultural, and social fields that contribute to achieving Vision 2030.
3- Developing the student's personality by providing what develops their talents and refines their personalities.
4- Giving the student self-confidence by involving him in various areas of activities that develop and refine his personality socially.
5- Providing an optimal university environment that cares for its students by providing various services, programs, and activities that keep pace with their inclinations to achieve their aspirations so that together, through them, we advance our university to the ranks of distinguished universities.
6- Consolidating the concept of patriotism and the spirit of belonging to the homeland.
7- Working to refine and build a positive, balanced personality for students.
8- Promoting a participation, dialogue, learning, competition, and creativity culture.
9- Enhancing the sense of belonging to the university and the Arab and Islamic nations.
10- Enhancing students' ability to adapt and harmonize with the local environment inside and outside the university.
11- Developing and strengthening the spirit of university discipline and adherence to norms and regulations.
12- Working to highlight students' cultural, academic, and sporting talents and reveal their creative aspects.
13- Accustoming students to teamwork and participating in planning, implementing, and following up on various student activities, housing services, and nutrition.
14- Maintaining Diversity in services, activities, and care methods provided to students according to stage requirements, university goals, and community needs.
15- Consolidating social values among students, such as cooperation, fair competition, constructive dialogue, and acceptance of other opinions.
16- Investing students' free time in purposeful activities and valuable programs to discover their talents and skills, work to develop them, and soundly direct them to serve the individual and society.
17- Activating the college's role through volunteer work and social responsibility towards society.
Duties and Responsibilities
1- Introducing new students to the importance of extracurricular student activities in refining and building the student's personality, acquiring his talents, and enhancing knowledge through his activities.
2- Providing / Presenting the activity plan to the students through a virtual session and sending it to them via WhatsApp.
3- Hold meetings between members of the Activities Committee and distribute the committee's tasks to the members.
4- Preparing the student activity plan for each academic year's first and second semesters in cooperation with faculty members and students.
5- Approval of the student activity plan and implementation of its content.
6- Forming teams for student activities from students and clarifying the tasks of the student teams.
