First: Accredited Academic Programs
The College aimed to offer academic programs aligned with labor market needs and the development of professional skills. accordingly, the academic programs were reviewed and enhanced, and linked to professional certifications through a benchmarking study of accredited professional certificates in similar programs across Saudi universities. This process resulted in the identification of 44 professional certifications accredited by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). These certifications were then sent to the heads of academic programs for academic evaluation, to determine their relevance to the respective disciplines and to nominate the most appropriate certifications for each program, as outlined below:
1. Event Organization and Management Program:
- Vision: Excellence in preparing highly competent, professionally qualified graduates who meet the needs of the local labor market.
- Mission: To prepare qualified and distinguished professionals in event planning, organization, marketing, and evaluation in line with labor market requirements.
- Objectives:
- Equip students with essential skills in event management and organization..
- Develop teamwork and self directed learning skills to keep pace with labor market demands.
- Prepare graduates capable of problem solving through practical training in public and private sector institutions.
The program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to plan, organize, manage, market, and evaluate events and conferences. It covers the principles of event management and the fundamentals of event services, including food and beverage services, facility management, and various logistical services. In addition, the program addresses event marketing and sponsorship, risk management, and the regulations governing the organization of events.
2. E-Commerce Program
- Vision: Leadership and excellence in delivering an applied program that contributes to sustainable development and serves the community.
- Mission: To prepare professionally and technically distinguished graduates in the field of e-commerce who are capable of meeting labor market needs.
- Objectives:
- Prepare outstanding graduates capable of obtaining professional and industry certifications.
- Strengthen engagement with the local community and address its needs.
- Build effective institutional partnerships with both the public and private sectors.
This is a professional program designed to provide students with up to date knowledge and skills in e-commerce, international marketing, fundamentals of electronic business, e-marketing, and the application of internet technologies in business. The program is offered in the cities of Arar and Rafha and delivers comprehensive business education that enables students to adapt to the knowledge based economy and apply e-commerce technologies in business practices. The program has been recently approved by the Applied College. Upon completion, students are awarded a Professional Intermediate Diploma in addition to a professional certificate after a study and training period of two and a half years, comprising 68 credit hours. An exit point is available after the first year, after which students receive a Professional Associate Diploma upon completing 29 credit hours.
3. Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Program:
- Vision: Excellence in preparing professionally competent graduates capable of meeting labor market needs in the field.
- Mission: To prepare qualified professionals who integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application in accordance with the latest methods of education and training.
- Objectives:
- Equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and values required to meet labor market demands.
- Develop communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving abilities, and leadership skills.
- Prepare students to obtain professional and industry certifications, and enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities.
- Promote teamwork, responsibility, and adherence to professional ethics.
- Apply the latest methods and modern technologies in planning and analysis within the business environment.
4. Accounting and Taxation Program:
- Vision: Excellence in preparing professionally competent graduates in accounting and taxation.
- Mission: To prepare academically and professionally qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market needs.

- Equip students with essential accounting and taxation knowledge and skills.
- Supply the labor market with highly competent graduates holding professional certifications.
- Develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

5. Information Technology Program:
- Vision: Excellence in preparing innovative technical professionals who contribute to the development of the information technology sector.
Mission: To qualify IT specialists by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application using the latest technologies, in order to meet labor market needs and keep pace with global developments.

- Prepare professionals capable of managing technical aspects within organizations and ensuring system stability and security.
- Develop students’ skills in systems analysis and design, and technical problem-solving using modern technologies.

This is a newly approved professional program that equips students with up-to-date knowledge and skills in information technology, computer science, networking applications, databases, and information security. The program is offered at all college branches (Arar, Rafha, and Turaif). Upon completion, students are awarded a Professional Intermediate Diploma in addition to a professional certificate after two and a half years of study and training, totaling 68 credit hours
6. Programing and Computer Science program:
- Vision: Leadership in preparing distinguished professionals in programming and computer science capable of creativity, innovation, and keeping pace with digital transformation.
Mission: To qualify students with advanced theoretical and practical skills in programming and computer science through a modern professional learning environment, producing competitive graduates who contribute to the labor market and national development.
- Objectives:
Qualify students to design and program information systems, and develop communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
Graduate professionals capable of analyzing, operating, and managing computer systems in line with labor market requirements
Enhance practical training to build proficiency in the use of modern programming technologies and information systems.
This accredited professional program provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge in programming and computer science, enabling them to analyze, design, program, and manage information systems and applications. The program covers programming languages, computer networks, databases, information systems, information security, and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on related administrative and security aspects
The program is offered at the Rafha branch and awards a Professional Intermediate Diploma in addition to a professional certificate after two and a half years of study and training, comprising 71 credit hours.
7. Mining Technician Program:
Vision: Leadership in preparing specialized technical professionals who contribute to the development of the mining sector and support national development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Mission: To prepare qualified national professionals with applied knowledge and skills to operate and develop mining processes using the latest educational and training methods.
- Objectives:
Enhance students knowledge in mineral exploration and ore processing.
Prepare national professionals capable of operating processing plants and exploration companies.
Provide technical and practical solutions to challenges faced by mining plants and companies.
Develop analytical thinking skills for solving technical and applied problems.
Build teamwork skills within professional and research environments.
The Mining Program was established to meet labor market needs in the Northern Border region and the city of Arar, prepare qualified national professionals, support public and private sectors, contribute to industrial development, and reduce unemployment in line with Vision 2030.
The program awards a Intermediate Diploma in Mining and qualifies graduates for technical roles such as Mineral Technician, Mining Technician, Drilling Technician, Mine Technician, Blasting Technician, Petroleum Technician, and Metallurgical Furnace Technician, utilizing the Applied College’s available human and material resources.
8. Medical Sterilization Program:
Vision: Leadership and excellence in delivering applied programs that support sustainable development and serve the healthcare sector.
Mission: To prepare and graduate professionally distinguished medical sterilization technicians through applied programs aligned with current and future labor market needs.

9. Human Resources Program:
Vision: Leadership in preparing professionally distinguished graduates capable of meeting local labor market needs in human resources.
Mission: To prepare academically qualified and professionally competent HR specialists by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application and adopting modern education and training methods within a supportive environment aligned with best academic and professional practices and national quality standards.

11. Customer Service Program:
Vision: Excellence in preparing professional graduates capable of meeting local labor market needs in customer service..
Mission: To prepare distinguished professionals with the knowledge, skills, and values required to deliver high-quality customer service using modern technologies and training methods, contributing to development and community service.

- Professional Certification:

The program equips students with essential customer service skills, including active listening, understanding customer needs, effective communication, managing expectations, handling difficult customers, and delivering services across various channels such as face-to-face, indirect services, telephone, and social media.
The study duration is two years (Associate Diploma: one year; Intermediate Diploma: two years, including two summer practical training terms.
